I was a member of the Infantry Corp for 25 years and also ride a cruiser bike. I would love to ride with a club of fellow Infantry men and fellow Veterans. It is great to see that the WA VVMC have taken the action they have to enable the VMC to raise. It is only a pitty that the other states did not follow suit as it would have stoped a lot of these other clubs forming and allow people such as myself to be able to ride with my brothers. I am from NSW and there are currently three different military bike clubs apart from VVMC in this state. Ridicules.

Stevo, just saw that nobody has responded to your post. There is no requirement for active/war like service to join Veterans MC. Seems to be a common misconception.

G'day all,
I'm an retired RAAF triker (no longer able to be biker due to service disabilities). From asking around and a bit more digging, I am led to believe that the siezed colours are the defunct predecessor to the Patriot MC.
Anyhow all it boils down to is the clown shouldn't have been wearing them as: a) the club don't exist, and more importantly, b) the name "VETERANS MC" belongs to you's in WA.
Keep up the brotherhood. Have a good one.

The main problem we have is that people are willing to tade a little bit of personal freedom on the PROMISE that things will improve. A little here, a little there until one day you wake up with no civil rights at all.

Police are becoming more aggressive and utilising questionable tactics to write more tickets, issue more defect notices and go for the easy "win" that will skew statistics to reinforce their own political objectives and increase their budgets. Politicians do the same to stay in power.

Selfless acts by our public servants (including politicians) just don't happen but we live under the deluded hope that they do. What is really hurting Joe Public is that police and politicians are masters at the political game and the public are not. This means most of the population can't tell when they are being manipulated to meet the desires and whims of these so called kings of spin.

Until the public wakes up and realises what is going on, we're screwed.

Very interesting this as the media are portraying it as it is without the normal overstating & media hype associated with reporting on patched motorcycle clubs.
For the press to state that the current policy on patched M.C's is bordering on harrasment is obvious that the message
is finally getting out there & that Australia hopefully is starting to wake up to the Government's blatant attempt to strip our freedom away from us.
The comment on wasting tax payers money & stretching an already limited Police resource speaks for itself.
Pity this was done in Queensland & not Western Australia' we can hope & pray that the media in this state have the gumption to report events like this in a similar fashion.

I bet he was practicing his rally driving & pursuit driving skills, he should have taken up Knitting as a hobby as this was one very expensive practice run, even though he got off fairly lightly.
The only question I have is; Why did the prosecution have to use some expert witness from the U.S.? Surely we would have people that know the equipment in Australia, could of saved the tax payer a few dollars.
At least justice this time around has been served.
